“When he worked, he really worked.  But when he played, he really PLAYED.”

~Dr. Seuss

There is plenty of play and fun to be had this upcoming summer in and around Gull Lake. Our committees, departments and staff have all been concentrating on making this the best summer ever for you. We have many fun events already going strong and some just heating up. Among these are our FFN’s, Wet-N-Wild Wednesdays, Thursday Burger & Brew Nights and select Sunday menus. Check your Gull Post or Social calendars for more information and if you have questions or concerns, please contact me.

I’d like to take this opportunity to highlight a few dates in the months of May and June. On May 10th, follow the clues and jump on the hayride as Family Fun Night goes on a scavenger hunt across the golf course. May 12th is a very special day at GLCC as we pay tribute to all the wonderful mothers by hosting a delicious brunch where moms do not have to cook

or clean. Then, join us for over-the-top fun on Memorial Day weekend, where we meet and mingle with new and old friends to help welcome the beginning of summer—expect lots of food, games, and activities. Join us a month later as we celebrate Father’s Day at the club. I have two wonderful ideas to make it a perfect day for dad. The first idea is to come join us for brunch that morning and then have the day to enjoy some golf or tennis. The second option is to sleep in, enjoy the golf course or tennis courts and then join us for a cookout later that evening in the Boat Bar. If you are feeling really ambitious, join us for brunch, play all day and finish up with a fabulous grilled meal from the Boat Bar. All options sound like fun to me!

In concluding my article, I would like to send out a cheery hello and welcome all new and returning members. This is going to be a “funtastic” summer and I am looking forward to seeing everyone enjoying their club, the wonderful GLCC.
