After a quiet, yet successful winter season, we’re ready to dive into the spring and summer months here at the Club! We are so excited to have added so many new members to the GLCC family already this year. We know they will all be a welcome addition to our community and a big part of a great summer to come!
Speaking of summer, the summer programming guide should have arrived in your mailbox last month. This guide will be your reference to all of the classes and activities we have going on throughout the summer. It is the best resource for information regarding sailing, kid’s camp, golf, tennis or swimming so be sure to keep it handy. If you’re looking for an extra copy, you can always find them on our website as well.
While flipping through your programming guide, you may notice a few new names and faces. This year, Teresa Wimberley joins us from The Montessori School in Richland as our Kid’s Camp Director. Teresa is full of great ideas that we’re confident are going to make for a really fun season for the kids! We also welcome Mike MacQueen as our new Junior Sailing Instructor. Mike has a genuine passion for sailing as well as years of experience teaching at Plainwell Middle School so we have no doubt that he’ll be a great fit here at the Club.
We’re pleased to announce that Bri Crandall is returning to the Club as Beachfront Director along with both new and familiar beach staff. Kelly Monahan will be switching gears from Platform into Tennis, ready to get back on the courts with all of our junior tennis players, while Ryan Reynolds & “Miami” Mike will be returning for another great golf season. Last but not least, Tom Lechota is returning as our Adult Sailing Instructor, so make sure you contact Tom if you’re interested in getting on the water and learning to sail.
As we move into this busiest season at the Club, we remain focused on the efficiency and efficacy of communication from the Club to the members. If you haven’t already, find us on Facebook for Club updates, verify your email address with Chelsea in the office to ensure you receive our biweekly emails and be sure to check the Gull Post on our website at gulllakecc.com. The Club is full to the brim with activities, events, classes, food specials, parties and so much more during our summer months, so we want to keep you as informed as possible so that you don’t miss out!
We look forward to seeing everyone at the Club this summer!
