Happy New Year! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season!
The Club had a great month of December. The number of private holiday parties we booked went up again over last year and member participation in club parties, caterings and dining in the Boat Bar were up as well. It's great to have such involvement from the membership during the busy holiday season.
Our annual meeting was held on December 3rd. For those of you who were unable to attend, the club had a pretty good year. From a financial perspective, in comparison to budget, we had a net gain of approximately $100,000 through November, leaving our balance of cash around $500,000. There were slight gains in overall food and beverage revenues, golf rounds played and membership levels. We hope these trends continue through 2015. Thank you for all of your participation in the club!
Now is a great time to be planning for your upcoming graduation parties. The club can fully cater a party to your house or you can throw your won party here. The Pavilion and the Quarterdeck are great venues to host any party and we can customize your menu based on the budget you would like to work within. If interested, give me a call!
Looking ahead, we have a lot going on for your to enjoy in the months of January and February. You can find these on the social events calendar. I would like to highlight the ice rink and we've also mapped out a great cross country ski trail again this year. You will see signs posted by the Grille Room for the start of the intermediate and advance loops we have created. As we write this letter, we are looking at a green golf course. Let's hope for some good old fashion cold Michigan weather in order to have a great winter season here at the club.
A special "thank you" goes out from the Rossen Family to the entire GLCC membership, the team of employees and the entire community for all the love and support we received over the past few years while Mitch battled cancer. Mitch loved the club; the parties, the blob, swimming with friends, playing golf, but most of all the flurries and waffle fries in the Quarterdeck!
