Dear Members,

I don't think we have ever seen a winter begin like this. We are still getting members out onto the golf course on a regular basis. It is great to see smiling faces enjoying the course well into December.

With the 2016 season right around the corner, this is the perfect time to begin thinking about how you plan to improve your golf game for next season. This coming January we will have a special guest at the club discussing the benefits of off season training and working to improve flexibility, core strength, and separation of your upper and lower body. We will be hosting and posting dates of workshops here at the club with Brad Toepper, who is TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) certified and has been working with the Kalamazoo College golf team for the last season. Brad and I will work with you together to improve your physical ability as well as making sure your golf swing is set for the 2016 season. This is a very cool opportunity. Please contact the Golf Shop if you are interested in setting up one on one sessions. Otherwise look for a schedule of clinics to be emailed to the membership shortly.

January means the PGA merchandise show is just around the corner. This being the 10th anniversary of the PGA of America, we can look for some special additions to this year's show. Josh and I have some great teaching, fitting and leadership seminars on the docket and look forward to involving our new findings into the 2016 season.

Don't forget that both Josh and I are available for individual lessons throughout the winter at Year Round Golf in Schoolcraft. No better time than now to begin making the changes to make 2016 the best year you have ever had on the golf course. Josh and I look forward to a fantastic 2016 season, and the way things are looking now, the season will be upon us sooner rather than later. Remember feel free to contact us at the shop with any of your golfing questions.
