Dear Members and Friends,
We trust this winter has been very kind to you and everyone is ready to get back out and enjoy your club again real soon. Looking out the window as I write this, the course is covered in several feet of white fluffy snow and winter is showing no signs of surrender. The grounds staff has been very busy all winter with many different equipment and furniture projects along with keeping up with all the winter activities here at the club. Things are looking great!
We are excited for the new tees to open this spring and I know you all are too. It's important to remember the tees will require some additional time early this spring to finish their maturation process in order to sustain daily mowing and golfing traffic. Our target opening date for the new tee boxes will be Memorial Day weekend, providing Mother Nature is friendly to us early this spring. We ask you to kindly respect their final maturation process and refrain from playing off the new tees until their official opening date.
The driving range is scheduled to open in the middle of April, weather permitting. The reason for the delay is to give the range a better chance of recovering from the damage caused by using it. Seed used t o fill the damaged areas will not germinate until closer to the end of the month. Without the chance of recovery, we would damage the tee surface too quickly and be left with a compromised tee during the peak of the season. Thanks for your patience and understanding during this time.
The grounds team is here to make your club experience as special and enjoyable as possible. If there is anything we can do, please feel free to give me a call anytime. We are looking forward to a fun and exciting season here at the club and I hope to see you all very soon.
