FROM THE MANAGER

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We head into the New Year with great expectations. Our new Grille, or whatever we choose to call the building, is in full construction as we speak. The word is that we are still on schedule for an early May opening. Keep your eyes open for an upcoming Hard Hat Party, where we will explore the progress of our new project and start planning for the grand opening of our newest addition.

What’s In A Name?

That’s what we intend to find out! Beginning January 1st and running until the end of the month, the Club will be conducting a “Name That Building” Contest! I have been told that before it was The Grille it was called The Pro Bar and somewhere woven in there it was called Club Nineteen. Well… it’s the new millennium and with a new building should be a new name. Winner of this contest will receive dinner for two and the distinct honor of cutting the ribbon when the building is officially open for business! Brush off those suggestions you’ve been keeping in the back of your mind for too long and jump in the game!

While the snowbirds are South, and the locals catch their breath from the holiday season, we’ll be getting our winter projects knocked out. This is our opportunity to spruce up the Club and shore up our inventories to face another busy year. We look forward to rolling out new menu ideas, a refreshed clubhouse face and some very cool updates to our paddle tennis hut, the tennis courts and the golf course.

The Social Committee has been working very hard to identify some new and unique events that will pique the interest of the membership and give everyone more reasons to come to the Club. Go to Clubster or stay tuned to your emails as we introduce these each month. Speaking of Clubster… PLEASE download this app and get Clubster on your phones. Those members who are already on it have found it to be very informative, not to mention its effectiveness as a ‘real time’ communications tool for everyone to stay in touch with what’s happening in and around the Club. If you’re not sure how to do this please contact Hannah Kruse at the Club and she will walk you through it! Keep the fire warm… Ring in the new!
