GRASS CLIPPINGS

Dear Members and Friends,

We trust this winter has been very kind to you so far and everyone is ready to get back out and enjoy your club again here real soon.

Looking out the window as I write this, the course is covered in several inches of white fluffy snow with a  layer of dense ice underneath and winter is showing no signs of surrendering at this point. This has

definitely been a rollercoaster winter season with many different

challenging weather conditions thrown at us! The sledding hill and ice rink have been a huge hit with so many snow days and perfect winter conditions to get out and enjoy these club amenities. The grounds staff has been very busy all winter inside the shop and out on the golf course with our winter equipment maintenance, tree removals/tree trimming and many other special projects along with keeping up with all the winter activities here at the Club. Things are looking great!

The driving range is scheduled to open in the middle of April weather permitting. The reason for the

delay is to give the range a better chance of recovering from the damage caused by using it. Seed used to fill the damaged areas will not germinate until closer to the end of the month. Without the chance of recovery, we would damage the tee surface too quickly and be left with a compromised tee during the peak of the season. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

The grounds team is here to make your club experience as special and enjoyable as possible. If there is anything we can do, please feel free to give me a call anytime. We are looking forward to a fun and

exciting season here at the Club and we hope to see you all very soon!
